We have reported this earlier in our website that HMD global is working on a smartphone featuring a Penta lens camera. Now it seems like the Nokia’s new flagship killer, Nokia 9 might be the industry’s first of it’s kind. The blueprint has been circulating around the internet for a long time and now the latest leaked images show a much more detailed look of the Nokia 9.
The trending tweet by Ben Geskin (@VenyaGeskin1) shows the clear images of Nokia 9 with Penta-Camera setup on the upper half of its rear panel.

The dual camera concept was launched in HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D, but both of them kind of failed to actually entice the market. It has been a trend ever since Apple entered the space couple of years ago. And just recently the all-new OPPO R17 and Huawei P20 Pro have come up with triple cameras.
Looking at the leaked images, the smartphone possesses a glass back consisting of a Nokia logo and also a Zeiss brand logo. The front camera in the images is seen with a large display with a notch, and as regular volume rockers and power button on the right side.
Some images were posted on Chinese blog ‘IThomes’ and as per those images, the Nokia 9 consists 5 lenses on the backside arranged in a circular pattern along with one of the sensors on the right and flashes on the left side. The image shows that the model number of Nokia 9 will be TA-1094. It’s not confirmed will it be launched this year or not. As of now no clues has been given by HMD global regarding further details or the launch date.
Will Penta lens cameras be the future of mobile phone photography? Let’s wait and see.
